When thinking about the design of each product, Humanscale carefully considers the materials and resources used, with the goal of creating an overall Net Positive impact. To them, “less bad” is not good enough. Their aim is to return more clean energy, water, and air to the planet than we use, creating measurable good along the way. Humanscale believes that manufacturing must make the world a better place, and they are working to make it a reality every day.

Throughout their history, Humanscale has collaborated with icons like the legendary designer Niels Diffrient, who designed many of their task chairs like Freedom -- the first self-adjusting chair without manual knobs and levers. They have also partnered with Don Chadwick and with Todd Bracher, who currently serves as their Creative Director. Humanscale's innovations have been honored with more than 200 prestigious awards since 2007 and featured in various museums, such as the Museum of Modern Art.
