Sustainability

Green Scene
With 16.9 million pounds of plastic recycled to-date (and counting!) and over 100 active recycling customers contributing to a closed-loop economy, Cope is doing our part to preserve the planet. As the recipient of seven IAPD Environmental Awards, we work every day to identify new paths towards sustainability, like installing solar-power grids and LED lighting. By reducing waste, improving yields, and repurposing our materials, we give performance plastics new life.
“Cope Plastics is committed to making the world a better place. We’re partnering with suppliers, customers, and the community to minimize our environmental impact while increasing sustainability and green initiatives through innovation, education, and social responsibility.”
Community Involvement

Giving Back
We believe in giving back. Cope proudly supports community outreach initiatives that benefit both our employees and the communities in which we live and work. Many of our team members dedicate time and effort to local non-profits. Some of the charities and organizations we’ve worked with include: RiverBend Growth Association, Lewis & Clark Community College, Friends of Kids with Cancer, North Alton Godfrey Business Council, Southern Illinois Employer’s Association, Pride Inc., Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, and United Way.
